University College Dublin achieves world’s top 120 in prestigious rankings
University College Dublin (UCD) has been ranked 118th in the latest QS World University Rankings, a placing that represents a climb of eight places since last year.
This is the third year in a row that UCD has moved up these prestigious rankings that use nine different indicators to assess the individual institutions including Sustainability; Academic Reputation; International Students Ratio; and Faculty Student Ratio.
In the Sustainability category, UCD achieved first place in Ireland, and 49th place globally. The University has also seen four subjects ranked within the top 50 globally – these are Veterinary Science (33); Petroleum Engineering (34); English Language & Literature (41); and Nursing (44).
A further nine subjects at UCD ranked amongst the top 100 in the QS World Rankings – these are Agriculture and Forestry; Anatomy and Physiology; Archaeology; History; Library Management; Performing Arts; Philosophy; Social Policy and Administration; and Sports Related Subjects.
