UCL ranked #1 for urban planning
University College London (UCL) has received top marks for planning and built environment studies in the QS World University Rankings and The Guardian University Guide 2024.
#1 in the UK for planning
This year, The Guardian University Guide 2024 ranked UCL as #1 in the UK for Construction, Surveying and Planning in 2024. UCL’s Bartlett School of Planning provides a unique hands-on learning environment for students across 11 accredited postgraduate degrees, guided by urban planning experts and leading practitioners.
Head of The Bartlett School of Planning, Professor Mike Raco, said, “I am thrilled by this recognition of our innovative community of students, researchers and educators. I congratulate our community in this wonderful achievement.”
#1 in the world for built environment studies
UCL has also been recognised for the second year in a row as #1 in the world in the Architecture and Built Environment field, according to the QS World University Rankings by Subject in 2024.
The Bartlett, UCL’s Faculty of The Built Environment, welcomes over 4,000 students each year across over 90 education courses, and is where the UK’s most ‘World Leading’ and ‘Internationally Excellent’ built environment research is undertaken. Together, our mission is to tackle some of the most pressing issues for people, communities and the planet, and build a better future for everyone.
