MSc Finance with Data Science at UCL – scholarships available
UCL has launched a Masters in Finance with Data Science – a unique course combining the scientific foundations of finance with the theory and practice of financial data analysis.
With the increasing importance of data science in the finance industry, more companies are looking for graduates with a high level of data science literacy and skills as well as an expertise in finance. UCL’s MSc in Finance with Data Science aims to equip students with the skills required to make data-driven decisions as finance specialists.
The postgraduate course has been designed based on world-class research expertise in finance, data science, econometrics and economics. Delivered by leading faculty from the UCL School of Management and the UCL Department of Economics, it is a highly quantitative course combining theory and practice.
It is ideal for those who are passionate about finance, equipping them with the skills and knowledge essential for positions in major global financial hubs such as New York, London and Hong Kong – in a range of roles including a bulge bracket investment bank, hedge fund or pioneering data-driven finance start-ups.
The MSc in Finance with Data Science starts in September 2025 and is a 12-month, full-time course. The tuition fees are £47,100 per annum for UK and overseas students – there are some scholarships available. The application deadline is 27 June 2025 for students requiring a visa, and 29 August 2025 for all other students.
