Durham University named University of the Year in prestigious rankings
Durham University has been named The Times and The Sunday Times University of the Year 2026.
These prestigious rankings measure various criteria including student experience, teaching quality and graduate prospects, and are widely regarded as the definitive guide to UK universities.
Durham University scored very well in all categories, with the judging panel being particularly impressed with the high student satisfaction rates.
Durham also scored well for graduate outcomes and was named joint runner-up for University of the Year for Graduate Employment 2026 – Durham graduates have excellent job prospects and prepares students well for graduate careers.
