Applications are open for Hull’s MSc in AI and Data Science
Data is one of today’s most valuable commodities and artificial intelligence touches almost every walk of life, from improving diagnosis times and treatment in healthcare, to offering new creative tools for artists and practitioners alike. In the UK and across the globe, there are not enough people in the workforce who have the skillset needed to make the most of opportunities Artificial Intelligence can bring, or to utilise Data Science in the modern data-driven world.
The University of Hull is working to tackle this problem through their exceptional MSc in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science program. By the end of this one-year course, graduates are able to apply techniques taught through this program to real-world problems, as well as develop key skills including Python coding, problem-solving, and data visualisation and interpretation.
This course is for those who want to change careers, upskill themselves for their current jobs, or those who are looking to adapt in this emerging field as AI and Data Science become more important in our daily lives.
MSc AI and Data Science students will be based in the new, purpose-built Centre for Excellence for Data Science, Artificial Intelligence and Modelling (DAIM) at the heart of the University of Hull campus. This facility has over 250 computer seats for students to learn, practice and apply their coding, programming, AI and data science expertise. The design of the new building offers an immersive, contemporary and high-quality digital setting whilst keeping its environmental impact to a minimum.
Previous students on this program joined the course from a range of STEM-related backgrounds, such as mathematics, psychology, physics and computer science. If your bachelors degree is from a non-STEM background, we would love to hear from you if you have completed modules in mathematics, statistics, computing or data analysis.
Applications are now open for our MSc Artificial Intelligence and Data Science programme for both January or September 2024 entry.
You will join a vibrant academic community with students from across the globe and the UK. Not only that, but the University of Hull has recently joined the prestigious Turing University Network. Being part of this network gives the university a wide range of opportunities to forge partnerships and share excellence in the fields of data science and AI.
