Our MA Fine Art course provides opportunities for you to build advanced technical and theoretical problem-solving strategies as well as advanced interpretative abilities.

As part of this course, you’ll: - Develop your motivations, ambitions and abilities as an artist

  • Explore a number of practices including painting, sculpture, print, installation, video, sound, performance and curating

Boost your creative practice You’ll increase your abilities and understanding through a series of practice modules that will encourage creative enquiry and activity. Your study will be supported by research methodologies, which will allow you to question and better understand your own creative practice. They’ll also allow you to develop new solutions to disseminate and promote your work.

Learning support You’ll be supported as you flourish into an independent, creative practitioner and thinker. Working collectively, you’ll develop skills of negotiation, adaptability and resourcefulness preparing you to respond to contemporary challenges in the field of art practice.

Specialist study spaces You’ll be taught through a combination of seminars, tutorials, studio activities, projects and events. Our studios, workshops and other practical facilities – such as our White Column gallery, theatre and performance spaces, screening facilities and recording studios – will offer a stimulating learning environment for your individual ambitions.
