Looking for placements as part of your masters degree? Many of our courses offer a Professional Experience Year, giving you real career experience. You will complete your Professional Experience Year after your first year of study, meaning you will graduate as a prime candidate in the global job market.
We also offer January and July start dates on a range of our courses, so you don't need to wait until September to start.

Student life
The Students’ Union is at the heart of our communities on campus, delivering campaigns for change as well as providing a support network for you throughout your time at Roehampton. You’ll also be able to join one of the many vibrant societies and sports teams, which include arts, politics, religion, sports, country-specific and academic societies.
There’s also loads going on to campus, including pub quizzes, chaplaincy, club nights, sustainability projects and sports events.
We are located in SW15, in-between Putney, Wimbledon, Richmond and Barnes. There are plenty of local places to grab a bite, enjoy a drink and hang out with friends. Being a student in London also means you get to experience being a part of a global city. World-class sports, amazing theatre, museums, career opportunities, unique shops and every type of cuisine is right on your doorstep.
We are just a 15-minute walk, or a few minutes by bus, from Barnes Station, which has regular trains to Waterloo, Clapham Junction, Hounslow, Richmond, and more. We are also a short bus ride from Putney Bridge, which is on the District Line.
Accommodation and facilities
We are a campus university meaning everything you need is all in one place. Our campus highlights include our new sustainable engineering and technology building, our world-class library, the Bloomberg Suite and specialist labs. Whatever you choose to study, you'll be learning in leading facilities that mirror the industries you go on to work in, so you have the practical skills needed to excel in your chosen career.
If you choose to live on campus, you’ll be able to access some of the most affordable accommodation in London with utilities, internet, contents insurance and laundry included.
All our halls of residence are based on campus, so you’ll have everything you need right on your doorstep. We can also allocate you in a home that makes you feel most comfortable, whether that’s living with friends, single-sex apartments or quiet flats. We also have 24/7 security on hand, to make you feel that little bit safer on campus.
For our mature students, you can choose to live in accommodation with other mature students. We have postgraduate specific halls, so you can live with other postgraduate students for a more focused and quiet living environment.
You can also choose to live in a twin room. You will be living with one other student. The kitchen, living space, toilets and showers will be shared with your flatmates.
Planning on commuting? Our college kitchens are the perfect place to safely store your belongings, reheat your own food, study or hang out with friends. We also offer free onsite car parking for students.
You’ll also get to spend some time in our huge, world-class library. The library team are always on hand to help you make the most of the resources available to you, many of which are available online anytime, anywhere. The library is also home to our Archives and Special Collections, which has rare books, original documents, and artefacts.
