University of East Anglia UEA
The University of East Anglia (UEA) is a world-renowned university known for its high standard of academic performance across both taught and research postgraduate courses. It is ranked as a UK Top 25 (Complete University Guide 2025) and UK Top 30 (The Mail 2025) institution.
Based in Norwich, in the county of Norfolk, the university has an excellent international reputation for the high quality of its research output. UEA is home to over 17,500 students, of which around 30% are postgraduate students. Our institution also provides a range of support through the Student Support Service, which is dedicated to ensuring the wellbeing of our students. There is a scholar’s bar and study areas for postgraduates, and the UEA library contains over 800,000 books for every subject.
UEA is also a lead institution of the Norwich Research Park, a major global centre for scientific research including plant, food and health research. The park has a collaborative network of around 3000 scientists, including clinicians and entrepreneurs. Cambridge is one hour away, whilst London is only two hours by direct train. Norwich even has its own international airport located just 20 minutes away by car from the university campus.
