**The course aims to help you to:**

- Develop an understanding of design as it relates to the domestic and commercial interior together with the capability to present design ideas visually, verbally and in written form

- Evaluate site and functional constraints and evolve design solutions through critical analysis and research

- Develop spatial awareness, the capability to organise space with a knowledge and understanding of ergonomics and ability to handle interior decorative elements

- Develop a portfolio demonstrating your skills and your design approach

**MA course objectives:**

- Define and critically analyse a self-selected subject area and generate a clear programme of research, directed towards a clearly defined end.

- Show familiarity with relevant published research and a range of additional sources of information such as: case histories, site visits, plans and associated documentation, commensurate with M level challenge.

- Reflect upon the selection, organisation, and integration of researched material, presenting a clear argument and conclusion, presenting a clear argument and conclusion, in the presentation of your thesis or dissertation

- Critically relate to the research experience to plan, develop and express a personal view of the subject area that relates to your work and personal design philosophy.
