Our School of Health & Medical Sciences combines the former St George’s, University of London – a specialist provider of health and medical education – and City’s School of Health & Psychological Sciences and is now one of the largest suppliers of the health workforce in the capital.

We are a leading provider of education in the fields of healthcare, medicine and psychology, offering a wide breadth of courses. Our diverse student body ranges from graduates looking to take on the next stage of their academic journey, to practitioners with many years of experience in their fields. Postgraduate students work closely with academic staff, many of whom are clinical practitioners and are engaged in the interdisciplinary research across our vast subject areas. Our School’s work is focused on transforming the provision of healthcare services in the UK and internationally, as well as improving health and wellbeing across society.
Based in London, our Tooting (attached to St George’s Hospital) and Clerkenwell campuses offer state-of-the-art clinical skills facilities. Our long-standing strategic partnerships with NHS London, NHS Trusts and associated professional bodies gives our students placement experience with some of London and the South-East’s leading healthcare providers.
Many of our courses have been tailored specifically to meet the growing demand for flexible education, with full-time or part-time options, multiple start dates, and options to study entirely online or through a hybrid or blended approach which includes a combination of online and on-campus learning.
