Summary

Gain an in-depth analysis of public health concepts, theories, and principles on our master’s in public health degree course. The need for skilled leaders in public health is rising as global demand for effective health policy and practice increases at an unprecedented rate.

This Master of Public Health (MPH) course is designed to empower individuals currently working in, or aspiring to enter public health careers, including practitioners, health professionals, and those in the voluntary, community, and social enterprise (VCSE) sector to a new level.

What will I study? Our programme provides an in-depth understanding of global public health concepts, theories, and principles, with a strong emphasis on public health practice. It encourages you to adopt an international as well as national perspective and critically examine public health issues.

What are my career prospects? Graduates can pursue careers as epidemiologists, public health advisors, public health practitioners, health educators, programme managers, or policy analysts. Due to the global focus of the course you can look to find employment both locally and internationally. You will be well placed to lend your skills to public health initiatives you are personally passionate about.
