Our MA in Screen and Film Production could enable you to advance your career, develop and enhance your skillset, and align yourself with top industry professionals. Our new Masters in Screen and Film Production puts you and your aspirations at the centre of your learning, whilst refining your chosen specialist pathway.
Our cutting-edge industry-led course allows you to design and realise your own bespoke educational experience. Through your two mentors, one an external industry expert who will be aligned to your industry specialism, you will gain invaluable insight into the film, screen, and television industries. You will also have the opportunity to tailor the course to meet your individual and professional development needs, placing your career aspirations at the heart of your learning. You will have access to all the latest industry level production sets/studios, technology and resources to bring your projects to life. Our MA in Screen and Film Production supports collaborative professional practice within a creative environment with industry professionals and resources to support project or specialist development within a dynamic creative environment.
The course will allow you to utilise our innovative personalised curriculum, deciding upon a specialism and putting that skill into focus. The areas of practice-based research are wide and bespoke to you but are illustrated by the following examples: - Producer who wishes to specialise in developing distribution pathways for a feature film

Whether you want to write, direct, edit or produce, our flexible and bespoke course will give you the opportunity to bring your skills to the fore and demonstrate your passion for your chosen craft. You will have access to cutting edge studios, software and equipment and to support the creation of your projects and an industry-ready calling card.
You will work with your Screen and Film School mentor, as well as an industry mentor, to explore your pathway and hone your skills towards your chosen specialism. Develop micro projects, such as trailers and pitches to gain an insight your research project and its outcomes.
A visit to a European city of cinematic culture will broaden your view of the industry, as well as a trip to the annual BFI UK Film Festival. There is a £1000 discount for current Screen and Film School students and alumni, a £500 kickstart fund towards your final major project and support in raising additional funds. Industry engagement is embedded into your MA course, along with the unique offering of an internship in your chosen specialism and further opportunities for additional work experience through our range of highly reputable industry partners will be available.
Acting as a production house, our MA will support your development within a vibrant, dynamic, and collaborative environment. This ensures that throughout the course you develop your practical research and production skills to thrive upon graduation. All MA Screen and Film Production students will leave with a final major project demonstrating their specialism, a network of industry professionals and a sound understanding of how to navigate the film and screen industry to build a successful and sustainable career.
