Postgraduate scholarships
You don’t need to complete a separate application form for a scholarship; it’ll be applied once you’ve received your official offer letter. Please note, scholarships can’t be combined but can be used alongside our full payment discount.
International students residing in specific regions outside the UK may be eligible for a scholarship of up to 20% on the April 2026 intake of our undergraduate and postgraduate online courses.
Students residing in Africa can also enjoy a 20% scholarship for the April 2026 intake on all eligible undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
A 10% Course Scholarship is available for the April 2026 intake of various Masters degrees.

Other funding
Please note this is only applicable if you’re studying online and doesn’t apply to on campus courses. Full payment and alumni discounts can’t be combined but can be used alongside any scholarship.
Full payment discount
We’ll offer you a 5% discount if you’re starting your postgraduate course and paying upfront.
Alumni discount
If you’re a University of Essex or University of Essex Online graduate, we’ll award you a 10% alumni discount on your postgraduate tuition fees when you continue your studies to Masters level.
Corporate discount
If your organisation has three or more employees, or you’re a not-for-profit organisation, you may be eligible to join our corporate partner list. Becoming a corporate partner entitles you and your employees to a 10% tuition fee discount.
The corporate discount can be used with the full-payment discount but not in conjunction with any other discount or scholarship.
