Durham offers a range of scholarships to support students who apply for postgraduate study starting in September 2026.
Our comprehensive package of scholarships celebrates and rewards exceptional candidates applying to our Masters and MBA programmes. We have various funding opportunities available including Alumni and Masters Achievement Scholarships, programme specific funding and MBA scholarships.
Inspiring Excellence Scholarships
Durham has announced some new scholarships to support international students worth £5,000 and £10,000 towards tuition fees. You can apply for the Inspiring Excellence £5,000 Scholarship for study across most of Durham’s taught masters, or you can apply for the Inspiring Excellence £10,000 Scholarship if you are looking to study any of the following programmes.

Apply for Inspiring Excellence Scholarships at Durham.
International Scholarships
If you are from Bangladesh, India, Malaysia, Nigeria, Pakistan or Vietnam, you will be eligible for an International Scholarship worth £5,000 towards tuition fees. The scholarships are available for most of Durham’s undergraduate programmes and postgraduate taught masters. You can apply for Durham’s new Inspiring Excellence £5,000 Scholarship alongside the International Scholarship.

UK Postgraduate Support Scholarships
Durham has announced 100 scholarships to support eligible UK students from low and middle income backgrounds. For taught masters, you can apply for £3,000 and for MRes programmes, you can apply for £2,000. If you hold a bachelor's or higher degree from Durham University, you will automatically be eligible for Durham’s Alumni Fee Scholarship alongside the Postgraduate Support Scholarship.
