Online vs on-campus masters courses: the pros, cons and considerations

Many postgraduates, especially those travelling from further afield to study, gain a lot from the cultural and social experience on offer in their chosen student city. Interactions outside of the classroom can lead to invaluable connections, including lifelong friendships and professional associations that could enhance your career.

Now for the downsides, and we may as well get the biggest and most obvious disadvantage out of the way first! The costs for on-campus masters courses are generally higher than online programs, with increased tuition fees and additional expenses like postgraduate accommodation, travel and living costs to foot the bill for.

The lack of flexibility, increased time commitment and limited work-life balance also make online masters courses more attractive than in-person PG programs.
