Edinburgh, Leeds or Oxford: which UK university is right for your masters?

Choosing the right university to study a masters course is a very big dilemma for every prospective student. The university you settle on has the power to define your postgraduate path, with your career prospects, academic growth and employability all influenced by your selected institution.

The University of Edinburgh

The University of Edinburgh has been making waves in the world of education since 1583. Fast forward to the present day, and it’s considered one of the UK’s top universities as well as a lively place to spend those undergraduate or postgraduate years.

In 2022/23 our student startups secured more than £32 million in investment, grants and funding. Our commercialisation service, Edinburgh Innovations (EI), has helped students launch 115 student startups during that time.”

The university’s state-of-the-art facilities also sees them rank fourth in the UK for research power, with the student learning experience on offer scoring just as highly. The University of Leeds

With a solid reputation for its research-intensive courses, the University of Leeds is another popular option for masters study. The University of Oxford

Our third and final Russell Group university needs very little introduction. The University of Oxford is among the top universities globally, with the institution consistently ranking in the worldwide top five.

It is generally considered the UK’s most prestigious place to study, with its research-intensive masters programs, academic rigour, top-tier faculties, impressive resources and extensive networks just some of the reasons why it’s among the elite and garners strong outcomes for its graduates.
