Is studying for a postgraduate degree really worth it?

At last count, there were 883,635 postgraduate students in the UK. This figure includes 619,795 studying for a taught masters degree and 115,705 individuals undertaking doctorate research – and more and more people are considering postgraduate education as their next step.
