Orano Limited represents the international Orano Group in the UK. The company has over 130 employees and is headquartered in Abingdon, Oxfordshire with two further offices in Warrington and Westlakes, Cumbria. Orano Limited is a specialist technical consultancy and engineering organisation working in the nuclear sector, on projects in decommissioning, safety, defence, nuclear new build and the nuclear fuel-cycle. With over four decades of experience, Orano Limited offers technically astute and forward-thinking services and solutions to the nuclear industry, supporting projects at every stage of the nuclear lifecycle. Orano’s recent work in the UK ranges from major multi-disciplinary engineering design and build projects for new nuclear process equipment and glovebox lines, to specialist technical services including Waste Management and Decommissioning, Site De-Licensing, Radiological Protection and Radiological Hazard Assessment.

We are particularly looking for candidates with a masters degree in the following areas:
- Mechanical engineering/ Chemical Engineering
- Physics and Chemistry
- Environmental/ Geography
- Nuclear-based degrees
- Electrical engineering
Please note that the successful candidate must, by the start of the employment, have permission to work in the UK, and be willing to undergo a security vetting process. Offers of employment will be subject to relevant security clearance being granted. Currently we are not able to support student visas. If you have a PhD, you do not need to apply through our graduate scheme. We recognise a PhD as work experience so, we recommend you apply for any of our engineer/consultant roles (junior based level) that are currently live.
All our graduate roles at Orano are a two-year programme where candidates are recruited with a specific position in mind. However, you will initially be given the opportunity to gain a more holistic view and experience of the business through secondments to different projects and disciplines. We offer training, a mentor and development to help graduates continually develop their skills. This continues beyond the two year programme. Once finished the 2 years you will become an engineer/consultant (junior level).
