Ambitious About Autism
Ambitious about Autism is a UK-based charity dedicated to standing with autistic children and young people so they can be themselves and realise their ambitions.
At the heart of the organisation’s work is specialist education: it runs a number of schools and colleges tailored to autistic learners. These include schools such as TreeHouse School, The Rise School, St John’s College and a specialist college, Ambitious College.
Beyond education, the charity offers a national suite of services: for autistic young people there is an online youth network, employment programmes and wellbeing toolkits; for parents and carers there is a dedicated support community and practical resources; for employers, there are autism-confident training and recruitment support services.
Campaigning and research are also integral to the charity’s impact: it leads initiatives to change public policy, build awareness and empower autistic voices.
Located at The Pears National Centre for Autism Education in London, Ambitious about Autism combines direct frontline service delivery with national advocacy.
By bringing together specialist education, transition‐to-adulthood support, employment pathways and advocacy, the charity addresses the full lifespan of an autistic person’s journey – from early years to adulthood. The goal is not just to provide support, but to shift the system so that autistic young people are valued, understood and enabled.
For anyone looking to engage – whether as a young autistic person, a parent, a professional or an employer – this charity offers practical resources, direct interventions and a strong call for inclusive change.
