Durham University has financial support for postgraduate students

Postgraduate Scholarships
Durham has launched two new scholarships to support eligible UK students commencing their postgraduate studies in September 2024.
Postgraduate Support Scholarships
Durham is offering 100 Postgraduate Support Scholarships to eligible UK students with a household income of £62,343 or below. The majority of Durham’s taught masters and MRes programmes are eligible – except postgraduate diplomas, postgraduate certificates, PGCE programmes and integrated masters.

Dean’s Scholarships
If you are a UK home fee paying student who has achieved (or is on track to achieve) a First Class undergraduate degree, you may be eligible for the Dean’s Scholarship to study in the Faculties of Arts and Humanities or Social Sciences and Health at Durham. Most programmes are eligible – except Law and PGCE programmes.

It’s not possible to hold the Postgraduate Student Support Scholarship and the Dean’s Scholarship at the same time, however you may also be eligible for the Alumni Fee Scholarship.
Alumni Fee Scholarship
If you hold a bachelors or higher degree from Durham University, you will automatically be eligible for the Alumni Fee Scholarship and do not need to apply separately.
