With a diverse range of graduate programmes on offer, studying fashion at Heriot Watt is full of possibility. These taught programmes aim to develop advanced knowledge and practice of fashion through the exploration of concepts and contemporary topics in design, fashion and textiles. Upon approval from the University senate, the following specialisations are possible:
• MSc Fashion and Textiles Innovation and New Applications
• Fashion and Textiles Innovaiton and New Applications
• MSc Fashion and Textiles Managaement
• MA Fashion and Textiles Design
The programme content challenges students to approach fashion and textiles from a non-traditionalist perspective and to develop contemporary conceptions and uses of fashion and textiles. The opportunity for innovation through well-resourced workshops and to promote new approaches and processes in fashion and textiles is encouraged. Staff knowledge and expertise span the full spectrum from design to manufacture, context to management, technology to creativity and practice to theory.
