Summary
This course which is is fully accredited by the CIOB, RICS, CABE and Quantity Surveying International (QSi) will enable you to experience the art and science of construction project management from project initiation to operational management through the use modern and innovative approaches.
What happens on the course? The coursework and assignments on this course are designed around live case studies, which provide an opportunity for real-life learning and application of theory to practice. In addition, this course is delivered with industry partners through vising and guest lecturers - ensuring that all students will be taught by practitioners who are leading the field in the construction industry.
While this course will be delivered at our new £100 million Springfield Campus with state-of-the-art of learning and teaching facilities in the built environment such as the virtual reality, augmented reality and digital construction lab, the course is also supported through the ‘National Brownfield Research Institute’ (NBI).
As a world-class institute, the NBI provides the facility to develop modern methods of building through innovation and partnership with the construction industry, focusing on the practical application of future brownfield regeneration through the work of research teams, leading policy development and commercial services.
Within the School of Architecture and Built Environment, we also have strong links with top industry players which enables our students to secure professional practice placement with top construction organisation in the UK such as William Gough, Dunton Environmental, Network Rail, National Grid, Gleeds, Wates and United Living.
