Summary

Our MSc Mobile Web Development is fully accredited by the British Computer Society and is designed to meet the demands of the increasing use of mobile devices to provide applications and services to users and enterprises.

The MSc is both career- and practically-focused; you will spend a large proportion of class time in computing laboratories engaging with the appropriate tools and acquiring practical knowledge. You will learn how to develop applications for mobile devices and software that adapts to various platforms on which they run, especially smartphones. You will develop your design and development skills and position yourself to target employment opportunities in software development for the mobile web.

Teaching on the MSc is via lectures, tutorials, and hands-in laboratory sessions. Active learning is promoted through practical assignments. Certain classes and assignments involve problem-solving through analysis, evaluation and the synthesis of a solution reflecting the practical emphasis of the programme. Assessment is a variety of methods including examination, coursework and dissertation. The entire course ensures that you gain the core skills and hands-in experience, including team development, required by the computing industry.
