|Institution||University of Lincoln View institution profile|
|Department||School of Education|
Teaching professionals can play a pivotal role in the development of children and young people, inspiring them to learn and developing their knowledge and skills in preparation for their future.
This course has been carefully developed in collaboration with our partner schools to ensure a curriculum and mode of teaching that is as far as possible in line with employer expectations. Trainees are encouraged to be reflective and build their own philosophy of education in order to cultivate their identity as a teacher.
The academic content of this programme is integrated with Initial Teacher Training at one of our partner institutions’ School Centred Initial Teacher Training (SCITT) Centres, with the aim that students emerge from the course with an understanding of how academic knowledge and research can be integral to their own careers and to the development of education.
The School of Education at the University of Lincoln is working with the Lincolnshire Teaching School Alliance and St George’s Academy Partnership, both incorporating a wide range of schools across Lincolnshire, to provide teaching places in a range of secondary school settings.
