Summary
The programme is aimed at science and technology graduates who wish to extend and develop their skills to encompass a wider set of disciplines, as well as graduates who want to develop their careers in managerial roles in engineering or manufacturing or in the commercial enterprise in which they have chosen to work.
The programme is also aimed at experienced industry practitioners who wish to complement their academic knowledge and obtain professional recognition in key management areas in private industry or the public sector nationally and internationally.
At present, science and technology undergraduate degree programmes do not normally reflect the growing multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary characteristics of the modern business enterprise.
However, many trained engineers possess a high degree of analytical problem-solving ability, which can be directly transposed to the business and enterprise environment.
Skills such as optimisation and simulation, for example, although developed specifically for mechanical or electrical engineering systems are equally relevant to enterprise or engineering business management.
A systems approach to problem solving which is developed in many undergraduate engineering programmes is also directly applicable to decision making at the strategic and enterprise level.

The University of Chichester is situated in the beautiful county of West Sussex. Our heritage dates back to the 19th Century, when Bishop Otter College was established in 1839. Previously a teaching college, Chichester then became a university.
The University has two campuses, Bishop Otter Campus in Chichester which is a 10-minute walk from the city centre, and the Bognor Regis Campus which is located 915 steps from an award-winning beach. Both campuses have excellent public transport links. Our campuses host buildings that are both historic and modern, specialist and technologically innovative, all set in beautifully tended gardens.
