The course offers specialist training in the economic and legal concepts and techniques relevant to the design, implementation and assessment of environmental policy.

1st or Upper 2nd Class Honours degree or equivalent; applicants whose 1st language is not English must demonstrate their proficiency via a formal test and reach the required standard. IELTS score of 7.5.
Assessed by essays, written and oral examinations, dissertation; successful completion allows continuation to PhD study.
Compulsory modules include: fundamentals of environmental regulation; environmental and resource economics; concepts in ecological economics; core skills; advanced techniques for environmental policy; plus options including: advanced environmental law; urban economics; public policy; institutions and development; in addition to the course fee students may have to pay a college fee.
