Summary
This course gives the opportunity to deepen students understanding of film from within and beyond the canon in a variety of genres, periods and forms. Course provides research opportunities at an advanced level; course work deals with the history, theory and practice of film making in Europe (with particular reference to Ireland) and the US; students are required to set theoretical considerations against the practice of film making through 2 film production components.
