This course is designed for current or future education professionals to enhance their teaching practice as a continuation of the Blackboard eTeacher programme. You'll learn to understand the processes that lie behind the design of e-learning materials, and how you can better implement technology for the benefit of your students.
How you learn
This course is aimed at teaching and education professionals who have completed the Blackboard eTeacher programme. It balances academic knowledge, vocational experience and personal skills development at postgraduate level.
The course has been designed to meet the needs of those teachers, teaching assistants, lecturers and others who use technology regularly in their professional context. It blends face-to-face and distance learning — allowing you convenience and flexibility around your existing commitments.
By the end of the course, you'll be equipped with the theoretical and practical grounding you’ll need to work creatively and effectively in your learning environment.

Therefore their role/ circumstances must be of the required standard to enable them to use the workplace as a site of learning. The award has been designed for current or future education professionals in digital or technology-enhanced learning. Applicants therefore will be typically working in an educational organisation in a teaching or professional role, and will have demonstrated success through career progression with sufficient experience in line with the level of study. The main attributes are to be motivated to develop personally and professionally, be willing and have the time to complete the extensive studies associated with such a course. The formal academic admissions criteria are an honours degree at 2:2 level or above or equivalent, applicants who do not meet these criteria will need to demonstrate that they will benefit from and have the capability to complete the course successfully through completion of the application form and interview with the course leader. In addition applicants are required to have successfully completed the associated certificated Blackboard eTeacher programme. When applying for this course you are applying to study the first module. Once the first module is successfully completed, you can choose to end your studies or continue onto the next module. If you successfully study all 4 modules, you will achieve the Postgraduate Certificate. All admissions decisions will be at the discretion of the course admissions team in accordance with University admissions policy. |
