The University of Tampere in Finland is organizing an International Seminar on ‘Taking the doctrines of European Court of Human Rights Seriously’ on 27th September, 2013. The program will run from 10.15am-4.45pm.
The Seminar will focus on the recent doctrinal developments of the Strasbourg case-law. The discussion involves doctrinal developments in the aftermath of the High Level Conference on the Future of the European Court of Human Rights and the Brighton Declaration (April 2012). It will concentrate on these suspicious shifts in the Strasbourg doctrines and their relationship with focus on the subsidiarity principle and the margin of appreciation doctrine in the Brighton Declaration.
