The MSc Viticulture & Oenology will equip you with a systematic and comprehensive understanding of grape and wine science. In addition to this, course modules also highlight key areas, such as sparkling wine production, climate change and sustainability and the role of emerging technologies in vineyard and winery management. The knowledge you obtain, combined with practical skills gained in the commercial vineyard and winery at the College, will enable you to make complex viticultural and oenological decisions across the wine production chain. You will visit iconic wine-producing areas in Europe throughout your course and be given the opportunity to undertake a research project or industry placement in a wide range of businesses in national or international wine regions. You will benefit from the considerable collective international expertise, research experience and impressive networks of the wine department staff and learn in an environment that includes commercial vineyards, a commercial winery, fully equipped analytical and sensory laboratories and a cutting-edge research winery.
