Westminster Business School’s new MBA shortlisted for MBA Innovation Award
Westminster Business School has recently redesigned and relaunched its MBA program to make it deliver a uniquely board-focused experience, and this MBA has now been shortlisted for the MBA Innovation Award by the Association of MBAs (AMBA).
The new Westminster MBA was validated in March 2017, and has been designed to be a new generation MBA for aspiring company directors. It has been recognised by the AMBA for moving away from the traditional classroom teaching and positioning the program in the boardroom and emphasising the importance of performance.
Westminster Business School has also been recognised in another of this year’s AMBA Awards categories, with alumnus Jennifer Wascak being shortlisted for the MBA Student of the Year Award.
Principal Lecturer and Course Leader of the Westminster MBA, Kellie Vincent, says, “To have both nominations we submitted to two categories of the AMBA excellence awards shortlisted is amazing news for our whole MBA community. It reflects the hard work and dedication of the entire team and participants. Being shortlisted for the Innovation Award for our revalidated MBA was something we aspired to when we initially began to design the new programme. For our MBA for Aspiring Directors to be recognised so quickly is incredible, especially in light of the hundreds of nominations submitted from high-calibre schools each year.”
The shortlist for the MBA Innovation Award recognises brilliant new practices and promotes the values of taking risks for innovative purposes, it therefore only includes entries from business schools that have shown innovation and incorporated radical thinking in their MBA programs.
