University of Limerick, Ireland, wins big again at the Education Awards
The University of Limerick in Ireland has won big at the Education Awards for a second time. The Education Ireland Awards are a long-standing platform for recognising, encouraging and celebrating excellence in the education sector. Again, this year the University of Limerick is celebrating wins in two categories!
For the second straight year, UL has claimed the title of Best Student Campus and for the third year in a row, they took home the top prize for Best Erasmus Program.
Some of the campus highlights include the newly extended Glucksman Library, which is one of the largest campus libraries in Ireland and one of the most digitally advanced in the world. Campus sports facilities are second to none – UL is home to Ireland's first, and only, academic Flight Simulator and they have built Ireland’s first Olympic-standard 50m swimming pool and 25m diving pool with Olympic-standard springboard facilities. The University of Limerick has participated in the Erasmus program since 1988 and has links with over 300 partner institutions throughout Europe, offering a wide range of opportunities
UL has the largest outgoing cohort of any university in Ireland with approximately 500 students studying abroad each year. The semester abroad is academically recognised as part of the student’s degree program at UL. Find out more about Erasmus at UL.
