University of Kent enters top 500 in prestigious global rankings
The University of Kent has gained a place in the top 500 of Shanghai Ranking’s Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU).
This is the first time Kent has gained such a high position in these prestigious rankings, and it’s one of only 39 UK Higher Education Institutions to feature in this year’s top 500.
The University of Kent’s Vice-Chancellor and President, Professor Karen Cox, says, “I am pleased to see this latest ranking, which is further evidence of our international reputation and academic strengths. It also underlines our commitment to outstanding research, teaching and learning. My thanks and congratulations to all our staff who have made this possible.”
The ARWU ranks more than 1,500 institutions, and the top 500 are published alongside the candidates for the top 500.
