University of Aberdeen highly ranked for student satisfaction
The University of Aberdeen has been ranked 11th in the UK for overall student satisfaction in the latest National Student Survey (NSS) – this demonstrates a rise in four places since last year’s survey.
Speaking about this achievement the Vice-Principal for Education at the University of Aberdeen, Ruth Taylor, says, “I am delighted and proud that for overall satisfaction we have moved up four places to 11th out of 124 higher education institutions across the UK.
She continues, “These results demonstrate the value that our students place on their experiences at the University of Aberdeen. Our staff have done an excellent job in ensuring that our students are among the most highly satisfied in the UK despite the challenges brought by Covid-19.”
The NSS results also reveal that University of Aberdeen students have ranked their university in the top 10 across a number of aspects, including:
Ninth in the UK for ‘staff are good at explaining things’ – a rise of 10 places.
Fourth in the UK for ‘I have been able to access course-specific resources when I needed to’.
Sixth in the UK for ‘I have had the right opportunities to work with other students as part of my course.’
The NSS is carried out by the Office for Students on behalf of the UK funding bodies and is the largest student feedback survey in the world.
