Nottingham University Business School appoints a new Dean

Nottingham University Business SchoolNottingham University Business School has appointed a new Dean – Professor Duncan Angwin.

Professor Angwin is recognised internationally for his expertise in strategic management and mergers and acquisitions, and joins Nottingham University Business School from the Lancaster University Management School at Lancaster University.

Speaking of his exciting new role Professor Angwin enthuses, "I am delighted to be taking up the post of Dean of Nottingham University Business School. It is an honour to be leading a globally renowned business school. It has a well-earned international reputation for its innovative research and for leading the way in teaching students to develop a broader ethical and social perspective on business practice which is central to creating a sustainable future. I look forward to further developing the School’s reputation for research and engagement, locally and internationally."

Pro-Vice Chancellor for the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Nottingham, Professor Todd Landman, adds, “We are very pleased to be welcoming Professor Angwin to our University. He brings outstanding experience from both industry and academia, which will benefit our teaching staff and students. Duncan has shown incredible leadership in his previous role where he increased the size of his department and increased teaching standards to an international level. Professor Angwin will formally take up the role of Dean in November 2019.
