New Chemistry department opens at Swansea University
Swansea University has officially opened its new Chemistry department on the Singleton Park Campus. The new department was officially opened by the president of the Royal Society of Chemistry, Professor Sir John Holman, the department returns to Swansea after a 12 year hiatus.
The department’s new state of the art facilities will provide exceptional teaching and research space for both staff and postgraduate students. Expert chemists holding key roles in the Energy Safety Research Institute, the SPECIFIC project, the Centre for Nanohealth, the Biochemistry section of the Medical School, Bio-chemical engineering, and the Institute of Mass Spectrometry will join the academic team.
