Kent Business School gains AACSB International accreditation

University of KentKent Business School (KBS) has received accreditation from The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB International).

This is a major success for KBS at the University of Kent, as AACSB International is the longest-serving global accreditation body for business schools and only 5% of the world’s schools offering business degrees at bachelor level or higher have achieved AACSB International accreditation. Business schools that achieve AACSB accreditation have undergone a rigorous review into their resources, student commitment, business credentials and various other aspects of their business education.

AACSB praised KBS for a number of its initiatives, including its business and community engagement and close alignment between its research output and mission. Its Knowledge Transfer Partnerships were also cited as being successful, with its ASPIRE and Business Start-Up Journey programs also being praised.

Speaking about this excellent achievement, Dean of Kent Business School and Professor of Business & Innovation, Martin Meyer, enthuses, “I am delighted we have achieved AACSB accreditation. This is testament to the hard work we have undertaken to develop our strengths as a school that champions sustainable innovation, and develops ethical and responsible graduates who make a difference.”

Meanwhile, Executive Vice President and Chief Accreditation Officer of AACSB International, Stephanie M Bryant, adds, “The University of Kent’s commitment to earning accreditation is a true reflection of their dedication – not only to their students, alumni network, and greater business community, but to the higher education industry as a whole.”
