Hartpury is highly ranked in UK for postgraduate student experience

HartpuryHartpury University has recently been ranked as one of the best in the UK for postgraduate student experience.

Hartpury is delighted to have been ranked third out of over 100 UK institutions in the recent Postgraduate Taught Experience Survey 2018 (PTES), which surveyed nearly 90,000 postgraduates about the quality of their taught masters degrees in terms of their student experience.

Vice-Principal of Higher Education at Hartpurty, Rosie Scott-Ward, says, “With nearly 200 postgraduate students studying at Hartpury, it is fantastic to see that they recognise the value of the experiences and qualifications they gain. Our taught masters degrees are aimed at providing postgraduates with the in-depth knowledge and the confidence to achieve their ambitions, along with the skills to apply their research to tackle real-world problems. The results of the PTSE survey are a credit to the quality of the teaching as well as the commitment and dedication of the postgraduates themselves.”

In the PTES survey Hartpury achieved an impressive 88% score for overall student satisfaction, this is substantially higher than the 79% sector average. It was also ranked number one in the UK for postgraduate employability in the 25-and-under category, and 96% of its students said they felt better prepared for their future career – the sector average was 76%.

There are currently more than 1,800 students based at Hartpury University, and the masters courses on offer include Equine, Sport, Animal and Veterinary Physiotherapy, plus there are postgraduate research and PhD courses. It is the only educational institution in Gloucestershire to be awarded Gold in the Teaching Educational Framework (TEF).
