Final application deadline for AISTS is rapidly approaching
The AISTS application process is officially open for the 18th edition of the AISTS Sports Management program, starting in September 2019. The final application deadline is Wednesday 1st May 2019, so hurry up and get your application in!
The AISTS Sports Management program is a 15-month postgraduate program targeted at candidates who have a university degree, previous work experience, and that wish to re-orientate their career in the sports industry.
Ranked the number 1 sports management program in the world for 2015, 16, 17 and 18 by Eduniversal, the AISTS Master of Advanced Studies in Sports Administration and Technology offers a multi-disciplinary and practical approach to sports administration and brings together over 100 international experts in the fields of management, technology, law, medicine and sociology.
AISTS (International Academy of Sports Science and Technology) was founded in 2000 by the International Olympic Committee and EPFL, University of Lausanne, University of Geneva, IMD Business School, Ecole Hôteliere de Lausanne, City of Lausanne and Canton of Vaud. For the past 16 years, over 500 students have graduated from the Sports Management program and have gone on to work in various organisations such as the IOC, Lagardére Sport, FIBA, Nike and the FIH.
The average student’s age is around 29, with approximately four years of professional experience and a bachelors degree from a recognised university. International level athletes who have participated in world championships are also welcomed onto the program and can apply for a scholarship. In the past, the AISTS course has helped gold medal Olympians and world-class athletes successfully career change into the sports management world. There is also a scholarship available for one female applicant each year.
The 2020 class will be gaining their hands-on experience in the newly opened Synathlon. Along with the AISTS, the Synathlon hosts the International University Sports Federation (FISU), the Institute of Sport Sciences of the University of Lausanne (ISSUL) and ThinkSport, giving even greater connections to the sports industry. The Synathlon is just minutes away from the International Olympic Committee, as well as the IMD Business School and the libraries and sports facilities of the EPFL and the University of Lausanne. Class visits are also organised annually to the IOC, UCI, World Archery, UEFA, FIBA and more.
The 2020 class will also have the unique opportunity to experience the upcoming 2020 Winter Youth Olympic Games here in Lausanne. The Lausanne 2020 Games will take place from the 9th to the 22nd of January 2020 and the Class of 2020 will be scheduled to attend the Games and connect with the leaders of the world of sport.
