Anglo-American University is recognised as innovative leader globally
Anglo-American University (AAU) in the Czech Republic is in the top three finalists for Innovation in Internationalisation by the European Association for International Education.
AAU was founded in 1990 as the first private institution of higher education in the Czech Republic, and was the first university in the Czech Republic to offer programs entirely in English. It is now proud to say that 80% of their students are from abroad, making them very much international.
AAU combines both British and American educational principles with Central European academic tradition, providing students with skills at local, national and international levels. This has lead the institution to achieve both Czech accreditation and US accreditation through the WASC Senior College and University Commission (WSCUC), making it the only Czech HEI accredited to both European and US standards.
Jakub Tesař, Head of the Higher Education Department at Dům Zahraniční Spolupráce expressed his congratulations in AAU, saying, “Many great things are happening in the Czech Republic in the field of internationalization and it’s wonderful that the world starts to notice. #EAIE2018”
