Summary

This programme is offered in collaboration between the Postgraduate Quaker Study Centre at Woodbrooke, Birmingham and the Department of Politics, Philosophy, and Religion (PPR).

The MA aims to introduce you to the theories, issues and processes connected with the history, theology and sociology of Quakerism in a global context. We offer you the opportunity to advance your skills in research methods and, to help you understand the modern global context, we include a module on the theories of international relations.

The programme is usually of particular relevance to those with an interest in Quaker theology and history, the adaptation of religious groups to new social and geographical settings, globalisation and religion, and secularisation and Quakerism in a changing political environment.
