MetFilm School Berlin is based in a working film studio BUFA Studios, one of the oldest film studios in Europe. Berlin, home to 3.7 million people is a lively an exciting city. One of the most inexpensive capital cities in Europe, Berlin is now booming in more ways than one. With every fifth resident being international, it’s a city of great diversity and culture.
Our mission is to inspire a new generation of creative professionals. We bring the education and screen industries together in a creative environment, driven by great teaching and practical, hands-on experience, led by inspiring models. All our courses are taught in English and are validated by the University of West London in the UK.
MetFilm School Berlin offers three MA Programmes in the following disciplines: MA Directing, MA Cinematography, MA Documentary & Factual and MA Screenwriting
- MA courses are ideal for students looking to further their careers with practical and specialised training, improve their networking and pitching skills and create industry-standard content across a range of platforms.
- Our graduates have gone onto jobs as diverse as Directors, Producers, TV Assistant Script Editors, Campaign Managers and some have started their own production companies. Recent productions our students and graduates have worked on include Emmy and Golden Globe winning hit series ‘Homeland’ and commercials for global brands such as Versace and Adidas.

We are incredibly proud of our inspirational role model tutors, all of which are industry practitioners; either working in or come from a film or television background, meaning you will be taught by people who know the film and television world, inside out.
Facilities
Our facilities include a variety of shooting spaces, classrooms, and studios. Depending on the course, students may also have access to our sound stage, screening rooms and state-of-the-art postproduction theatres. Our Production Facilities Team offers a range of camera, lighting, and sound equipment to support student projects.
