By entering the competition, entrants agree to these terms and conditions.
The competition is open to amateurs, professionals and members of the general public, except for employees of Postgrad.com, their associated, affiliated or subsidiary companies, and their families, agents or anyone else professionally associated with the competition.
There is no age limit, but if entrants are under the age of 16 must get the permission of a parent or guardian before entering the competition.
The competition is open to all countries except where local law prohibits.
All entries must be received by 11pm GMT on Monday 20th June 2011.
All entries must be accompanied by the full name and email address of the entrant.
All data sources used must be publicly available online, and all entries must contain the URLs of all data sources used in the creation of the visualisation.
Entrants must own the copyright in all entries and by entering this competition entrants warrant that their entries do not infringe the rights of any third party.
Entrants are welcome to enter multiple entries in the competition.
Any text contained within the entries must be in English.
Postgrad.com shall have the right, but not the obligation, to exhibit and reproduce, and authorise others to reproduce, any entry for all publicity and promotional purposes connected to the competition, without payment of a fee. All entries used shall be credited with the entrant's name.
All entries will be judged by a panel of judges. They will consider a range of factors including design, effective visualisation, and storytelling.

It is a condition of entry that all rules are accepted as final and that the competitor agrees to abide by these rules. The decision of the judges is final, and there is no guarantee that correspondence will be entered into.
The winners will be notified by email after the closing date. Postgrad.com reserves the right to publish the names of the winners. The prize will be delivered in a manner and time to be determined within 28 days of notification, unless the winner is notified otherwise.
The prizes as published are available on the date of publication. The prize is subject to availability and to any published restrictions. All prizes are non transferable and there are no cash alternatives.
If the winners are unable to be contacted after reasonable attempts have been made, we reserve the right to either offer the prize to a runner up or to re-offer the prize in any future competition.
Postgrad.com may at its absolute discretion vary or amend the promotion and the entrant agrees that no liability shall attach to the Promoter as a result thereof.
Postgrad.com reserve the right to cancel this competition or alter or add to these rules at any stage, if deemed necessary in its opinion, and if circumstances arise outside of its control.
These rules are governed by the laws of England and Wales. This competition is administered by Postgrad.com.
