|Department||School of Social Science|
The MSc Primary and Community Care will provide Registered Healthcare Professionals, who are currently working in the primary care and /or community care setting, with a flexible, learner-centred and practice focused programme of study which aims to meet their personal, professional and practice development needs. It reflects the growing field of advanced clinical practice and aligns to the guidelines for General Practice Nursing produced by the Royal College of General Practitioners, the Royal College of Nursing’s Advanced Practice Guidelines, Health Education England’s pillars of Advanced Practice and the Queen’s Nursing Institute’s Voluntary Standards for Education and Practice.
|Level||RQF Level 7|
You will have an honours degree, normally at a 2:2 (or equivalent level qualification) or will be working at an equivalent level in your clinical practice. You will also need to hold a professional registration with an appropriate professional regulatory body.
You will also be required to evidence that you are employed in a relevant role for a minimum of 300 hour whilst studying.
BGU welcomes applications with non-standard qualifications so if you have significant experience in lieu of the above, we would be happy to consider this.
Applications for Accreditation of Prior Learning (APL) will be considered with up to 90 credits being awarded for prior learning from programmes accredited at other Higher Education Institutions, for example the Non-medical Prescribing Programme. This will need to be applied for in line with BGU APL policy. Funding implications will need to be assessed if APL is successful.
