Summary
You will be introduced to the main principles in statistics. The masters will also provide you with specialised training in probability models. Many of our graduates work in roles across business and finance. Others secure jobs in pharmaceuticals and healthcare or operations research, logistics and government.
Core modules will provide you with an overall understanding of statistical and probability techniques. They will help you to develop your understanding of the topics covered in the remaining optional modules.
During the summer you'll apply the theory and techniques you have learnt by working on a research-based dissertation. Throughout the project you will benefit from supervision provided by experts within the School of Mathematical Sciences.
On graduation, you will leave Nottingham with valuable skills in:
- logical thinking
- problem-solving
- data analysis and manipulation
