**Further information**
- You’ll have an opportunity to undertake a professional placement as part of this course. This will extend your study time by six to twelve months depending on the length of the placement. Alternatively, there are opportunities to choose an industry-based project.
- You’ll be responsible for finding your own placement. We’ll support you in preparation for this with our teams who can help you plan and develop your CV and applications, and undertake practice interviews.

Entry requirements | Entry can be made to the course through holding a 2:2 in a related subject (average of 50% or above marks) of BEng (Hons) or BSc (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering, Material Engineering or other related subject. Applications from individuals with non-standard qualifications or relevant work / life experience who can demonstrate the ability to cope with and benefit from Master-level studies are welcome. If you have not studied recently you may need to undertake a Top-Up degree Entry programme first. Students whose first language is not English will be required to demonstrate competence in the language. The normal minimum standard required is IELTS 6.5 or equivalent. |
