Due to the increased demand in the EU for Irish translators, and the end of the derogation on Irish at EU Level, the translation services of the institutions will have to be expanded in order to cope with the increasing workload.
Aiming at answering the growing demand for postgraduate jobs with a significant degree of proficiency in Irish, graduates from this programme will have career prospects in translation for:
- Business and communications
- The education sector
- The public sector and in tourism
- The ever-growing fields of lexicography and language planning
