Systems and devices of all kinds are increasingly required to behave in more intelligent ways. Furthermore, there is a growth in interest in intelligent methods for solving a huge range of complex problems across many disciplines. This programme aims to address the upsurge in interest in this field and the future need for graduates in this area. It will prepare students for careers in industry or for further academic research.
The programme is taught jointly by the Division of Engineering and the Departments of Computer Science and Mathematics at King's College London. King's is renowned for excellence in both research and teaching. It is situated in the very centre of one of the world's greatest capital cities.
Similar programmes at other institutions tend to concentrate on a particular methodology. In contrast, this programme covers a wider range of methods, and hence, provides students with a more complete understanding of the field and with a larger range of tools for developing intelligent systems and solving complex problems. The programme is also flexible in order to accommodate students from a variety of backgrounds and the individual interests of students.
