Get ahead in the fast-moving world of computing technology

Taking the new MSc in Advanced Computer Systems at the University of Bath will fully prepare you for a career or research in a fast-moving sector of computing technology. The course has been specially created to respond to developments in computer science and its allied professions.

You can specialise in one of eight areas: software systems, human communication, creativity and collaborative systems, global computing and multimedia, internet technology, mobile and pervasive computing, computer security and agent technology.

As well as being able to choose an area matched to what you want to do at work, you will benefit from the fact that programmes within the portfolio are based on a common core. This means that you will often study alongside students who have chosen other specialisms, helping you to understand and appreciate the links between these different areas of advanced computer science.

• Themes are taught by recognised experts in each field, so that students benefit from excellent teaching by active researchers.
• Provides a genuinely advanced grounding in Advanced Computer Systems, offering you a qualification which is both academic and industrially relevant.
• Brings students together from different themes, providing fertile ground for study and interaction.
• Suitable for graduates from a range of disciplines, including computer science, engineering, maths and the physical sciences, as well as psychology and communication studies.

Stop press: grants covering course fees are available for the best applicants from the UK and EU.
