Liverpool John Moores University’s new Graduate Development Centre (GDC) offers a range of services to help you gain the skills experiences and confidence you will need to succeed as professionals after you graduate. As a postgraduate student our aim is to bring you closer to the world of work.
The Centre will support you in developing a variety of World of Work or ‘WoW’ skills that are valued by employers and will help you stand out from the competition.
LJMU is a technologically advanced university, offering a wide variety of well-equipped information technology suites, interactive media facilities, PCs and Apple Macs across the University campus. Our three largest Learning Resource Centres are packed with over 600 computers, giving you access to the Internet and a free email system 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Postgraduate taught programmes
MA, MSc, MBA, MEnt, LLM, PGCE, PgDiploma, PgCertificate, CPD
We offer key programmes in a wide range of disciplines spanning the arts, humanities, business and management, social science, engineering, education, health and science.
Our masters programmes will enable you to build upon your undergraduate studies, but some are ‘conversion’ courses designed for students with little or no academic experience in the subject area concerned.
Our postgraduate certificates and diplomas can enable you to change disciplines, upgrade knowledge, or take a first step towards a masters degree when your existing qualifications do not permit direct entry.
Master of Research (MRes)
Named routes have been validated in Sports Science, Health and Applied Social Sciences, Art and Design History, Curatorial Practice, Sonic Arts, Maritime Studies, and Literature and Cultural History.
Postgraduate research opportunities
Supervision for the degrees of MPhil and PhD is available in all of the University’s six Faculties (Business and Law, Science, Media, Arts and Social Science, Technology and Environment, Health and Applied Social Sciences and Education, Community and Leisure).

• Bedrooms with shared bathroom: £61.00 to £82.50
• Bedrooms with private en-suite bathroom: £71.50 to £96.00
• Bedrooms in good quality private shared houses or flats: £40.00 to £70.00
